My painting Taking A Break was accepted into the 2015 Brush with Burden juried art exhibition. And it was featured on the exhibition invitation.

This Painting was done at work by Patrice Brewer and myself. ( artists In Residence At BR General) It was inspired by a photo of Mike the Tiger VI taken by LSU Strategic Communications Dept. All proceeds from this Painting will go to benefit the Arts in Medicine program at the Br General Hospital. Painting with patients to relieve anxiety and pain.

Artist Statement

Painting is my passion and when I am creating I am fully content. As an Artist who paints from realism to impressionism, I place importance on the use of light, texture and the values of color in my works. I aim to capture the true expression of my subject matter whether it is a person, place or object. I want those who view my work to get a positive, uplifting reaction whether it be a feeling or thought that makes them happy.
